I work with students and families to make sense of the messy, often inequitable systems behind college admissions, transfer pathways, and the financial aid process. I have guided students through all aspects of the college admissions processes including students aiming for  competitive majors in the arts and sciences, as well as students exploring transfer pathways and nontraditional options. 

As a non-traditional student, my own path into higher education and my career was shaped by curiosity and resourcefulness, not legacy or expectation. I didn’t grow up knowing that selective schools could be a realistic option, much less how to access them. That’s one of the reasons I’m so passionate about advising today: I want students from all backgrounds to understand the full range of opportunities available to them, and to have a person who helps them navigate what can feel like a closed system. 

I work closely with students to demystify college admissions, explore need-based aid, and create application strategies that reflect both ambition and fit.

I help students make informed academic decisions by translating degree requirements, general education mandates, and major or minor options into practical, personalized plans. With 30 years of experience in higher education teaching and program leadership, I develop tailored academic roadmaps that align elective choices with long‑term goals. I also create dynamic planning tools such as semester-by-semester spreadsheets to keep students organized and empowered. 

Students can opt for a one‑time setup or ongoing support through semester registration, and I guide them in navigating institutional policies, tapping into academic resources, and maintaining clarity, confidence, and motivation throughout their college journey. 

I draw on my background in higher-ed leadership to help students anticipate obstacles, align academic decisions with long-term goals, and leverage institutional resources.

I support students through every phase of their research process, whether they are completing a high school senior project, an undergraduate capstone, a master's thesis, or a doctoral dissertation. From project ideation to execution and final presentation, my guidance includes idea development, project design, protocol development, literature reviews, selecting appropriate methodologies writing support, and time management strategies. 

Students receive support navigating institutional and advisor expectations, along with guidance on ethical research practices. This includes preparation for IRB submission when required, as well as assistance with informed consent, data privacy, and human subjects protection; even when formal IRB review is not necessary. 

Responsible, well-grounded projects begin with thoughtful design and steady support. I help learners stay organized, confident, and aligned with their goals as they bring their ideas to life. While my subject matter expertise lies in developmental psychology and education, I also guide those in other disciplines, drawing on broad research experience and a commitment to ethical, effective study design.
